John Memarian, RCVT, RDCS, RT

As a healthcare professional, John has more than 17 years of diverse background in cardiology which includes clinical cardiology experience (cardiac surgery, cath lab, EP lab and non-invasive cardiology) multi-hospital department management, teaching experience, marketing, and research as well as outreach programs.

Additionally, John has more than 10 years experience with capital equipment companies as client executive, PACS product specialist, new market development, and sales training.

John has worked with hospital systems in major markets, rural hospitals and underserved markets including services to Heart program start-ups, strategic planning, marketing, facility planning, and program development, program evaluations, electrophysiology program development.

Accomplishments and experience include:

As department director in Southern California, John implemented a successful integration of two hospital non-invasive cardiology department in 6 months to a single service line with common database and standard reporting.
As an outreach director with a community hospital in the central region, John transformed the entire cardiology service line, under-budget and less than a year, from paper and tapes to digital review and reporting. This allowed the hospital to expand their services to 3 outreach clinics in the underserved markets in the adjacent counties.
As a product specialist, John has been engaged in variety of PACS project with diverse clients list in the central regions. These projects are multi-discipline, multi campus and vary in range and complexity. John is engaged in every aspect of these projects from the initial workflow assessment to project management over site and go-live reviews.
As a client executive, John has worked with large hospital networks in southern California and central region, creating feasibility studies, business plans to assist his clients in expand their cardiology service line with new technology and service offerings that created a competitive edge in their market.

Having worked with top fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, GE Healthcare, and McKesson Cardiology, John has also served as sales consultant to vendor organizations including Burdick, Heamo-scope, ATS and HeartSounds.

John earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Columbia Southern University (CSU) and his AA degree in Cardiovascular Technology from Orange Coast College (OCC). He has earned the following credentials RCVT, RDCS and RT and has been active member with the following organizations AHA, ACC, ASE, RDMS, NASPE/HRS and LASE.
