David Blish, MHA, MBA

Trained and practiced as an x-ray technologist, David has been working in healthcare for nearly 20 years. In that time, he has worked and excelled in multiple disciplines: strategic planning; decision support; project management; business development; marketing & communication; physician practice management; and information technology assessment & planning. His breadth of industry knowledge and clinical background allows him to effectively and efficiently implement projects and fulfill strategic objectives on behalf of clients. He maintains currency in imaging technology and is frequently called upon to align equipment capabilities with facility business objectives. The creation of structure and process to achieve tangible results in unique, complex, and non-recurring situations is David’s core competency.

Mr. Blish has achieved these results over his healthcare career:
Project managed the successful relocation and occupancy of all cardiac and vascular services in a tertiary setting during continuous operation;
Created Information Technology and Imaging Technology master plans resulting in capital coordination, clinical integration, and expansion of capabilities;
Developed relevant and actionable strategic plans and market assessments;
Oversight, project management, and realization of facility projects including Emergency Department Expansion and Birthing Center Expansion; and
Origination and execution of analytical frameworks leading to medical staff value analysis and business segment/product strategic merit review.

He utilizes a goal-oriented team perspective that cultivates respect and open dialogue among its members. From Xavier University, David earned Master’s degrees in both Hospital and Business Administration with a concentration in Quality Management. From Indiana University, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Management and an Associate’s degree in Imaging Technology. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
