Lonita Ann Bennett |
Lonita has more than 25 years of technical and administrative experience in clinical medicine, including invasive and interventional adult and pediatric cardiology and electrophysiology, peripheral and neurovascular diagnostic and intervention, cardiac rehabilitation, device implantation and cardiothoracic surgery / cardiopulmonary transplantation. She has extensive experience in development, implementation and directorship at community acute care hospitals and academic medical centers. Her work in integrated cardiovascular database development has been recognized by Microsoft Corporation and contributed to the inception of the Microsoft Healthcare User Group. She has provided expertise to the cardiovascular and pharmaceutical industries as a clinical specialist, author and educator and has consulted throughout the United States and Canada. Lonita has participated in extensive clinical and research projects in heart failure, stroke and chest pain centers, intravascular ultrasound imaging, neurovascular medicine, women's health care issues, cardiometabolic syndrome and quality improvement measures in hospital and private practice settings. She received her bachelor's of science degree in biological sciences / health education from California State University at Los Angeles and her associate of arts degree from Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California. She is CCVT and RCIS credentialed in non-invasive and invasive / interventional cardiology and has completed clinical fellowships in intravascular ultrasound imaging and technique at the Cleveland Clinic and transcranial doppler imaging at the University of California Los Angeles. |
